Please reserve your equipment well in advance to ensure availability. You may call us at 215.238.5070, or email us at info@videosmith.com
First-Time Clients: Before we can confirm your order you will need to complete and submit
the Credit Card Authorization form. Please allow 2 business days for us to verify your
information. Download it here.
The Authorization is a PDF Fillable Form. Complete it, print it out, sign it, and then please
email us clear, sharp, full-size digital images (from a smartphone or scanner) of the signed
Authorization and both sides of your Credit Card and Driver’s License. [see samples here]

If you need to cancel your order we ask that you please do so by 12 noon the day
before your scheduled pick-up.

Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5:30 pm. If you need to contact

Rental Rates
All prices listed in the catalog are for a one-day rental. Rates for longer periods are available. Please give us a call for more information.
Check-Out and Return
Equipment check-out begins at 12 noon the business day before your shoot. Equipment pickups
are generally scheduled after 3 pm on the business day before your shoot. If you need to
pick-up earlier please let us know in advance.
Whoever you authorize and designate to pick-up the equipment will need to show us a valid
Driver’s License, a second form of ID, and a valid Credit Card. We’ll ask this person to sign
the Videosmith Rental Agreement contract on your behalf. We’d be happy to review our Rental Agreement with you prior to your pick-up.
Equipment returns are scheduled between 9:00am and 10:00am on the business day after
your shoot. Late returns may be subject to an additional charge. Special arrangements should
be made in advance for returns before or after our scheduled return times.
Proof of Insurance
When renting equipment from Videosmith, a Certificate of Insurance must be provided. We
have outlined below the specific requirements that must be met to insure full coverage.
- General Liability: You must have liability insurance that covers at least $500,000.
Videosmith, Inc. must be named as “Additional Insured” under Special Provisions. - Equipment Coverage: This must cover all equipment being rented – not just from
Videosmith. If requested, we will provide you the value of the equipment you are
renting from us. Please make sure that the total amount being rented for your
production does not exceed the limits specified in your policy. Videosmith, Inc. must be listed as “Loss Payee” under Special Provisions. All Equipment Coverage shall be worldwide and on a replacement cost basis without any deduction for depreciation. - The “Unattended Vehicle Theft Exclusion” will not be accepted. Confirm with your
insurance provider that you will be covered in the event that equipment is lost, stolen,
or damaged while in an unattended vehicle. - International productions shooting within the United States must have insurance issued
in the U.S.
All certificates and attached forms must be submitted to us at least 2 business days prior to
pick-up, and are subject to verification and approval by Videosmith before the equipment will
be released.
A credit card is required to cover any insurance deductibles, as well as to guarantee rental
payment.

If you don’t have your own insurance you can buy short-term policies from one of the
following brokers:
Student Discounts
We offer discounts of 10%, as well as a one-day weekend rental rate to students. Feel free to contact us for more details.
Payment Terms
We accept the following methods of payment for all rental charges:
- Cash
- Check – must either be a certified check or an official bank check
- Credit Card—Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.
We do not accept Debit Only or Prepaid credit cards for rentals.
You are responsible for any lost or damaged equipment, and will be charged accordingly
(please see the Rental Agreement for details).
We may put a hold for the amount of your insurance deductible on your credit card during
your rental as a security deposit. The Hold will be released upon the return and check-in of
the equipment.
First Time Clients must pay the full cost of the rental prior to check-out date.
